How do I put windows 7 and xp both on my laptop?

Hi, i really need some help here. I am starting to work for sunlife financial tomorrow and need my laptop to run windows xp for their software. Currently i have windows 7 installed. I want to know if I can split my hard drive and when computer boots I can choose xp or windows 7. So I can use xp for work and windows 7 for home. Since i don't have the cd for windows 7 I don't want to remove it completely. Any suggestions and help would be appreciated!

Download Virtual PC from www.microsoft.com and use that to run XP programs.

Install windows 7 first (easyest way to do it) when it says chose device, go to advanced settings. There you can make it so that windows 7 is installed on a certain partition of Hard drive. for example, say you have a 500gb hd. make windows 7 250gb. Once you installed it, put in xp... and install that on the other 240 some gigs (there will be a bit mroe than what you type in, for example you type in 250 it will be like 253 for backup)

Make sure you do this in bios. you dont just click on cd.

I hope i was of help, i am a computer tech... i had to do this in a rush
